Bunny was NOT happy with Jim's choice of mowing the yard, and so went to greener pastures for a week. Finally saw her again yesterday afternoon, happily munching away at the new growth. And then suddenly a TV news and traffic helicopter appeared from the south, flight path directly over the house, headed north. About the time I looked up, bunny decided it was time to scoot. And wound up in a clump of clover right next to my feet. Guess she figured I was safer than that thing casting such a giant shadow. I didn't move, just stood there while she cowered, until it was gone and the sound had faded away. And then I slowly turned and went back inside. Thirty minutes later she was still there, but no longer in fright, just happy with the new surroundings.
Guess we could all take a lesson. Life hands us problems, things crop up that are totally beyond our understanding, and sometimes we have to run. But once we're safe, life resumes. And we find ourselves better off than before.
